Bringing the Heat in Boca Raton at the Winter AAJ Convention
This past weekend, our CEO Mike Edwards took a little break from the cold to spend some time in Boca Raton at the American Association for Justice 2016 Winter Convention. The AAJ’s theme this year was “Strength in Knowledge * Power From Networking * United for Justice” – and the convention was a great success! The attorneys we met appeared impressed with the selection of sessions (as well as the opportunity to blow off some steam with a 5K run or at the resort’s Waldorf Astoria Spa), and expressed their pleasure at being able to discuss their goals and their triumphs with others who were dedicated to pursing justice.
Meanwhile, we enjoyed spending some time with current clients and reaching out to new firms from the Grand Ballroom of the Boca Raton Resort & Club. We had a real blast networking and exchanging ideas with the clients we aim to please. We also really enjoyed some of the convention events, especially the New Lawyers mixer. DLM often gives talks to up and coming attorneys about the benefits of digital marketing, so this was right up our alley.
Supporting the American Association for Justice
The American Association for Justice is the world’s largest trial bar with a powerful mission: to promote accountability and safety as advocates for people who have suffered injustice. In their own words: “The Mission of the American Association for Justice is to promote a fair and effective justice system—and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person who is injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.”
Since 1946, the AAJ has served as a voice for the voiceless, working to ensure that victims of injustice were given their rightful day in court. It is a powerful organization dedicated to the rights of victims in the U.S. and in Canada, and it was a true honor to have been a part of the convention.
